Park was fortunate to have an older friend, Louie Carvalho, who was a modeler and taught him all he knew. He was patient, meticulous and understanding. Young C. Park, first U-control model was a failure. Like all beginners, he rushed the model to see how it would fly. He taught me to be patient and to do the best I could at each step. Park remembers Louie teaching me in detail, saying, Wait for the solder to turn dull, or stopping me and saying, Flat washers and nuts have a face.
