Before celebrating the prices these cars commanded, itÕs important to note that Nick AlexanderÕs woodies Ð V8 flathead Ford and Mercurys from 1932 through 1951, plus a few later models Ð represent the best of the best. Nick sought out only the finest low-mileage, original examples for his collection. Many are winners of the ÒRouge Award,Ó named for FordÕs vast River Rouge assembly plant and reserved for cars with factory-original paint, interiors and drivelines. Others are ÒDearbornÓ cars, woodies meticulously restored in NickÕs own extensive facilities.
