1927 Spade Carrillo Ford Roadster

The tubular frame was handmade, using PBY "Flying Boat" wing strut tubing and 3" tubing for the crossmembers. A sturdy roll bar under the cowl was designed to protect the driver in case the roadster overturned. Direct drive, no clutch, no radiator, and just 3/4 of an inch off the ground, this car was a screamer in it's day. The fastest roadster type car at the Salt in 1951, the roadster was recently restored by Frank Morawski of Belair, MD.
