The Diedt was built by Emil Diedt, a famed Indy car fabricator in the 1940's and 1950's. Diedt's resume included successful racing cars such as the Miller Fords, Blue Crown Special, Nat Round's Rear-Engined Offy, and the Novi Indy Cars.
