1997 PINMAR meet at Heritage Park in Largo, Florida
The scene above has been created to show the modern world
what life was like in Florida at the beginning of this century as we near
the end of it and approach the beginning of the next century. This is the
general store at the Heritage Village in Largo, Florida. This is an actual
general store that was moved to the site from St. Petersburg, FL. The entire
village is comprised of similar building that have been relocated to the
park like setting from the St. Pete, Largo, and Clearwater area. The first
settlers authentic homes and businesses are in a undisturbed country-like
setting.
PINMAR, Pinellas County Model-A Restorers club uses this setting for
it's annual meet and the cars are all gathered just as they would have been
in their day. You and I mostly see interstates and beaches, but this is
what Florida was like in most inland locations. Palmetto bushes, pine trees
and dirt roads.
Unrestored tractor sits unrestored year round, while the
restored cars come for the meet.
