Ralph Schenck built this unpainted streamliner's chassis and frame in 1939, while Joaquin Grosso fabricated its lightweight aluminum body panels. The engine consisted of a 183-cubic-inch Chevrolet block, Oldsmobile head, Ford crankshaft rods, and Winfield cam. On May 19, 1940, the car achieved a top speed of 118 mph at Harper Dry Lake. The bare body sustained damage after years of successful competition and was eventually discarded, while the chassis and engine were sold off in 1945, only to be reunited in this restoration.
