It all officially begins each day with the parade of entrants from the staging area outside the fairgrounds. An endless parade of vehicles that makes your mouth water. This year over 8200 street rods registered and these are figures directly from guys in golf carts, so you know they are accurate. We have discovered that all power in the street rod business emanates from golf carts. We will soon have a golf cart and assume the strappings of power. A tip for you neophytes, one person in a golf cart usually has more power than 2 persons in a golf cart, unless one of the people in the cart is wearing a tie, then the driver is usually quite important. Also the newer carts go to the more powerful.
