Deuce Coupe "Chili" Catallo's 1932 Ford Coupe was one
of my early connection to the hot rod world, and one of the most recognized
hot rods of all time. Featured on the cover of the Beach Boys album.
Exhibited at Pebble Beach.I was involved in the beginning of this
car and it was customized many times over the years. Pete's custom
collision, Alexander Brothers, and the Barris Bros, all had a hand
in the restyling of this car.Finaaly back in the hands of the Catallo
family where it should be. One of the few hot rods to be invited to
Pebble Beach..
- El
Matador Bill Cushenbery's 1940 Ford Coupe, the El Matador, is
one of the most recognized custom in the hot rod world. Owned by AMT
model corp., Promotions inc. Carl Casper, and a variety of private
owners. One of those owners was me, and it was a high point of my
hot rod career. Burned in a garage fire and resurrected by HYarold
Murphy, as chronicled in Custom Rodder magazine, it is a survivor
in every sense of the word.
